our short movie

Neruda is a psychological thriller and a poetic chronicle of modern relationships, shaped by fleeting emotions, emotional detachment, and the concept of “liquid love.” Drawing inspiration from the sensual and melancholic poetry of Pablo Neruda, the film explores the contrast between the yearning for deep connection and the stark reality of emotional disengagement.

Set in the intimate aftermath of a breakup, Neruda plunges into the final encounter between Beatrice and Pedro—two lovers sharing one last moment of physical closeness. Their story unfolds in a fragile space, where tenderness, pain, and desire coexist.

director's note

Neruda is not just a film about a breakup—it’s about the invisible line between love and loss, about intimacy as both a refuge and a battlefield.

The film is a reflection on that liminal space: the pause between closeness and separation, where emotions are raw and undefined. I wanted to dive into this delicate moment where silence speaks louder than dialogue, and where the body becomes the last place where love still lingers.

writer’s note

Neruda is a psychological erotic thriller that explores the fragile emotional landscape that follows the end of a relationship. In this short film, we step into the intimate world of Beatrice and Pedro, moments after they’ve had sex for the last time—a final encounter that exists somewhere between desire and detachment.
